Welcome to the official blog of the School of History, Classics and Archaeology at Newcastle University.

Here in the School of HCA at Newcastle, our activities in research. teaching and public engagement overlap; our students at all levels benefit from research-led teaching, in particular with the collections of the Great North Museum and our research on Hadrian’s Wall. We and our Postgraduate students run a variety of reading groups, workshops and events, and our staff work to develop activity days and projects with local schools and institutions in and around Newcastle. In this blog, we’ll keep you posted on some of these activities as they progress…

We’re also on Facebook:  Classics & Ancient History, Archaeology, History

and Twitter:  Classics & Ancient History, Archaeology, History.
